This policy explains what information farangs.org collects, how we use it and the choices you have. The site is run by Hood Box Office LLC (“we”, “us”).

What we collect

Email sign-ups: the email address you give us when you join the farangs.org briefing.

Messages: anything you send us through the contact form or by email.

Usage information: the pages you visit, your device and browser type, your approximate location based on your IP address, and similar data collected through cookies.

How we use it

To answer your messages, to send the emails you asked for (every email has an unsubscribe link), to see which pages people read so we can improve the site, and to keep the site secure and meet our legal obligations.

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the site, and only as much as they need:

Wix.com, which hosts the site and its forms. Email and analytics tools that deliver our emails and measure how the site is used. Booking partners such as Klook: when you follow one of our links to a partner site, that site can see you came from us, but we don’t pass them your name or email. Authorities, when the law requires it, or a buyer of our business if the business is ever sold.

Headlines and videos on farangs.org link to the publishers and YouTube channels that made them. When you click through, their own privacy policies apply.

Cookies

The site uses cookies to make it work, remember your settings and count visits. Partner links may set a cookie on the partner’s site so they can tell us a booking came through us. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies in the cookie banner, and clear cookies in your browser at any time.

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it or delete it, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time. California residents can ask to know, correct and delete their information and won’t be treated differently for doing so. People in the EU and UK have rights under the GDPR, including the right to object and to complain to their data protection authority. To make a request, email info@hoodboxoffice.com. We reply within 30 days.

We keep messages and sign-ups for as long as we need them to answer you or send what you asked for, then delete or anonymize them, except for records the law requires us to keep.

We rely on the security built into our platform, including encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send us anything you would not want exposed.

The site is not aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. Our platform stores data in the United States and other countries where its providers operate, and part of our team works outside the United States. If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top.
